Celebrating Auntie Lisa!

Happy 50th Birthday Auntie Lisa! We had so much fun celebrating the birthday of one our favorite people! Iain had a great time exploring the backyard with his pal Ryan and goofing off in the "studio" for a photo shoot! As a gift for Lisa I set up a photo booth at her party and took photos of her with each of her friends then created an album of all the photos to commemorate the special day! Lisa you continue to be an inspiration in my life! Thank you for the love you give our family and for sharing your beautiful family with us!

Imagination Movers!

Iain LOVED seeing the Movers again live in concert! He also met DC & Genevieve from Choo Choo Soul! The after party was fun because the kids got to dance, sing and take a photo with the Movers! Thank you Rich, Scott, Dave, Smitty & Nina for making this a magical moment for our boy!

Homemade Valentines!

Jim, Iain and I made valentines for his kindergaren friends for their Valentine's Day celebration Monday. We had a lot of fun making them, putting all the pieces together and coming up with clever lines related to a flower or a candy like: "Thanks for being my bud" or "Sometimes life can be a little sticky" or "I'm a sucker for you". Iain thought they were really funny and we enjoyed watching him get so tickled over silly little puns.

Happy Valentine's Day to you! Love the McCarthy Family!

San Francisco Birthday!

We visited Twin Peaks in San Francisco for a surprise trip from Jim in honor of my birthday! We spent the late afternoon at the top of the mountain overlooking the city then drove into Mission district to meet Tony & Hannah for dinner. After dinner we saw "The Dance of Listening" performance by the Courage Dance Group at the ODC Theater. We wrapped the evening up with a trip to Bi-Rite Icecream and Bakery where we waited about 15 minutes in line for the BEST HANDMADE ORGANIC ICECREAM EVER! I love my boys!

My birthday card from Iain is priceless! According to Iain, that is me on the left and him on the right when  he's "a rock star teenager." I asked him about the little drawing above his head that I thought looked like a gold fish: "What is this Iain...are you thinking about how much you love gold fish?"  His response: "No mom! It's a thought bubble and I'm thinking about how much I love you, because I'll love you forever!" He's AWESOME! I'm LUCKY to be loved by him!

Matt's Soccer Game 2/5/2011

We had a great time watching Matt play soccer for St. Francis in Mountainview on February 5th. We were just three of his 20+ fan club members present at this last home game! Iain loves cousin Matt and our fun and goofy family!

100 Days of School Project

Wednesday, January 26, 2011 Iain was 100 days smarter! His school and kindergarten  celebrated in style! Lots of counting, lots of snacks, lots of fun! For his 100 Days of School Project Iain counted out 100 jelly beans that became dragon eggs for his dragon nest. That nest sat outside a medieval castle defended by Drake the mighty dragon. We had so much fun helping him with his project! It was a weekend adventure and Iain learned how to be resourceful by finding materials around the house to give it the perfect touch!

Piano Solo Night-January 2011

Iain is doing a fantastic job in piano. He is more than half way through book one and building quite the repertoire. For the January solo night he played "French Childrens Song" perfectly! It was awesome! Miss Peggy was very proud of him. Check out the video!

Happy 5th Birthday Cooper!

BOWLING!!! Iain joined his friend Cooper at Yosemite Bowl to celebrate Cooper's 5th birthday! They had a grand time...playing a couple video games, a game of air hockey with mom, eating pizza, enjoying cupcakes and icecream, opening presents, dancing and bowling. Iain was also mesmerized between turns with the baby at the party! He was super cute with him! Bowling was fun! The kids even got to explore the bowling ally from behind the lanes. It was super cool! Cooper was the perfect FIVE year old! Thank you Cooper for such a fun day! We love you!
