Snowplay at Dodge New Years Eve!

Iain is getting better and better at skiing! He did a half-day private over winterbreak with Kayla and really honed some skills! Moving on to level three next trip up. Hopefully we get another 3 or 4 days in this season!  We'll see. He's speed demon on the hill though!

Claus Family Christmas 2010

Christmas night at Papa Harold class was fantastic! Papa made a delicious shrimp alfredo dinner with salad and warm rolls! We had pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. Iain and Chet enjoyed the evening together being goofy, playing with their toys and opening gifts. It was a small party with Papa, Jim, Tamra, Amber, Joe and the two little boys that made us smile all night long!

McCarthy Family Christmas 2010

The annual McCarthy family gathering on Christmas Eve was hosted by Papa Dan and Grammy Sharon this year! It was great food, fantastic company and lots of laughs and love! Auntie Mo planned some fun "Minute to Win it" activities and Emma really shook it good! Iain joined his cousins and grandparents for a photo and proved to definitely be his mother's child snapping photos of the night. Everyone loved their presents and it was all around an excellent night!

 

 

Christmas 2010

After making chocolate chip cookies and writing his letter welcoming Santa, Iain climbed into bed and fell fast asleep anticipating the excitement of the morning...When he woke up he was so excited to find exactly what he had asked Santa for for Christmas--the Star Wars Millenium Falcon spaceship and dragons! He was thrilled!

Best Friends!

Just before the holidays our good friend Joyce came to Modesto to visit us! She, her husband and their two children moved to L.A. a couple of years ago and we only get to see them once a year if we are lucky! Iain and Madison last saw each other in May 2009 so it was a lot of fun to see how much she and her little brother Jordan have grown. Iain and Maddy picked up like time had never separated them! It was cute! We have nurtured their friendship since the age of two so it was fun to see them together having fun and being pals! We love and miss the Lyle Family!

Christmas Piano Recital

Iain performed "Jingle Bells" for his Christmas Recital and did an EXCELLENT job! He mastered the new piece very quickly and practiced EVERY DAY! He joined the 100 day club in November and is working to earn his certificate after he completes 100 consecutive days of practice. He wakes up early each morning to practice before going to school. We are so proud of him!

PALS Afterschool Care Winter Performance

Iain's afterschool care program performed with other afterschool programs in Stanislaus County at Central Plaza. He was with one of like thirty programs throughout the county. They sang a song called "Hip Hop Reindeer" and even did a little hip hop dance routine...Iain was a surprise dancer and it was awesome! We had no idea he had that kind of skill. He doesn't seem to have any issues performing on stage and did it a lot this holiday season! We have since enrolled him in a boys hip hop dance class at 5-6-7-8 Dance Studio! He loves it!

Santa Claus is coming to Town!

Iain and I made our annual visits to Santa...the first at the mall with the REAL Santa (cause his beard is real), the second to one of Santa's helpers at the Enochs Kids Christmas party with my good friend Chris Walker as Santa.

Stanislaus Elementary Winter Performance

Iain sang with his entire school for their annual Winter performance for parents. The entire school sang "I'm getting Nothing for Christmas" and then Iain performed again with his kindergarten class singing "Jinglebell Rock." It was so cute.

Decorating the Christmas Tree 2010

Decorating the Christmas tree is Iain's favorite family tradition...Jim puts up the tree and hangs the Christmas lights on the house while Iain and I hang all the ornaments. Iain is always so excited to pull out Christmas ornaments and set up the Nativity scene...it makes Christmas seem so close!

Thanksgiving Day 2010

Iain had a great time with his cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents at our annual Thanksgiving gathering at Auntie Anne & Uncle Mike's house in San Jose! From ping pong to
foosball, from dancing to dessert! It was a an evening packed with laughter and love!
